I am a hot sauce fiend…
I love all types of chillies, spicy food, hot sauce.. you name it!

When I first moved to Colombia I would eat out and ask for hot sauce to put my food but realised a lot of restaurants don’t serve it. I found it very weird as I thought Colombians would love spicy food being in South America.

So it didn’t take me long to learn that most Colombians don’t like spicy food at all… In fact, many of them cannot stand it and they even find pepper to be too spicy for their tongues. Oh and no offence to the Colombians that read this, but you really don’t know what you’re missing out on! 😛

Okay, so when I came across my new found love Amazon Hot Sauce my taste buds were blown away (literally). But I loved it, I grabbed the bottle to check the ingredients and to see which country made it, and yep you guessed it, it said: “Made in Colombia”.

I was shocked to learn that this wonderfully delicious tasting Salsa Picante (hot sauce) was made right in Colombia from chillies that are grown deep down in the Amazon Jungle.

The taste is amazing, and the Muy Picante (very Spicy & my favourite) is made from habanero chillies and will blow your socks off. But if you’re anything like me, you’ll just keep going back for more 😉

There is also about 6-9 other flavours that aren’t as spicy and they all taste soo good, and are all made from different types of chillies and some are much less spicy than others.

So if you can find this sauce outside of Colombia get some and try it, you will love it trust me!
